Piedmont Middle School will present the musical “Cats: Young Actors’ Edition” on October 24-26.
With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, “Cats” is based on “Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats” by T.S. Eliot. Memorable songs like “Macavity: The Mystery Cat,” “The Rum Tum Tugger,” “Mr. Mistoffelees,” and the iconic “Memory.”
Fifty middle school students make up the cast of “Cats”. The show runs about 1.5 hours, including intermission, and is appropriate for the entire family.
Performances are Friday Oct. 24, 7:00 pm, Saturday, Oct. 25, 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and Sunday, Oct. 26, 2:00pm. All performances are at the Alan Harvey Theater. Tickets go on sale in early October. Reach out to amoorhead@piedmont.k12.ca.us with questions.
