A beautiful late summer weekend drew families out in force for the annual Beach Dads Club Pancake Breakfast and Piedmont Arts Fund Chalk Festival last Sunday. In addition to the usual breakfast gathering and chalk squares, this year the Dads Club added inflatables and a “Dad Dunk Tank” to the mix. Could it be the start of a new tradition?

The Piedmont Arts Fund brought more color to the scene. For $20, families and kids could decorate a square with chalk donated by Flax Art & Design. All proceeds from the chalk squares support art programs in the Piedmont schools.
