The Blotter | $3,000 worth of tools taken from car

A plumber was working at a residence on Crofton Avenue on Aug. 8 when someone broke into their vehicle and took approximately $3,000 worth of tools, according to Piedmont Police Department Commander Brandi Marin-Morris.
The crime was reported by the resident at 4:56 p.m. The report said the incident happened approximately within 30 minutes of the report. There was no information provided about potential suspects.

Two stolen vehicles were recovered on Aug. 9. A 2015 Acura reported stolen out of Walnut Creek and a 2019 Acura reported stolen out of Concord were found. Commander Marin- Morris said there was no suspect information available.

On Aug 10, a U-Haul truck reported stolen out of Oakland was found. The vehicle was towed and no suspect information is available.
