PMS and PHS/MHS musicals announced

PMS will perform ‘Cats’ in October, and PHS/MHS ‘Grease’ in January; auditions coming up this month and September respectively.

PMS to perform ‘Cats’

This fall Piedmont Middle School will present the musical Cats: Young Actors’ Edition. WIth music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cats is based on Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot.

PMS performances: 

  • Friday October 24 @ 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 25 @ 2:00 & 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 26 @ 2:00 p.m.

Rehearsals are three times a week as follows:

  • Tuesdays (3:45pm-5:45pm)
  • Wednesday and Thursday evenings (6:30-8:30pm)

Audition Information and Deadlines

Auditions are online submissions via google form and are due Monday, August 25. Callbacks are in-person on Thursday, August 28. 

All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students enrolled in PMS are invited to audition. Information about auditions will be made available to all PMS students soon after school begins. For more information contact director Amy Moorhead at amoorhead@piedmont.k12.ca.us.


Grease on tap for the high school musical production

For Piedmont High School and Millennium High School students, Moorhead will direct and produce  the  musical  Grease. Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey wrote the book, music and lyrics for this rollicking musical evoking the look and sound of the 1950s.

PHS/MHS performances:

  • Thursday, January 29 @ 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday, January 30 @ 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 31 @ 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, February 1 @ 4:00 p.m.

Audition Information and Deadlines:

Auditions are open to all students enrolled in Piedmont High School or Millennium High School. Online audition submissions are due the week of Sept. 15 with callbacks later that week. Full information about auditions will be made available to all PHS/MHS students in mid-late August.
