On Wednesday morning at the base of Piedmont Park, Mayor Betsy Smegal Andersen and city officials cut the ribbon on the newly installed Bushy Dell Creek bridge. Andersen thanked Public Works Director Daniel Gonzales, along with city staff Nancy Kent and Nick Milosovich and Parks Commissioner Tom Smegal, for their enthusiastic support for and work on the project.
Andersen expressed appreciation to the city for partnering with the state in order to access funds from Prop 68 (a general obligation bond providing funds for projects related to parks, water, and the environment).
Learn more about how all parties worked together to bring a new, sturdier and more graceful pedestrian crossing to the well-traveled path through Piedmont Park.
