LOCAL NEWS MATTERS is excited to partner with Back Pocket Media to bring some of the Bay Area’s best journalism to the stage for SF Story Fest on July 19 at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco.

SF Story Fest brings together journalists, artists and community members for an evening that blends reporting with live performance. The evening is organized by Back Pocket Media — a collective of journalists, artists and storytellers known for creating award-winning live journalism experiences across the country — and sponsored by the Knight Foundation, with additional support from MOAD.
Storytellers will include journalists from Bay City News/Local News Matters, the San Francisco Chronicle, Mother Jones/Reveal, KQED, KALW, the SF Standard, Mission Local and Berkeleyside — all sharing behind-the-scenes insights into their reporting.
Bay City News Foundation’s own Joe Dworetzky will be among the featured storytellers. Early bird tickets are $25 and can be reserved online.
