New Commissions and Committee appointees begin terms of service

From an April 8 City of Piedmont press release:


Newly appointed members of the Civil Service Commission, Park Commission, Planning Commission, Public Safety Committee, and Recreation Commission began their terms of service on April 1. Three new appointees to the Budget Advisory and Financial Planning Committee will begin their terms on July 1.

The City Council made 15 appointments to City Commissions and Committees in March, following individual interviews with applicants. The following residents were appointed:


Budget Advisory & Financial Planning Committee: Paul Raskin, William Deitch, Carter Dunlap (alternate)
Civil Service Commission: Sachin Adarkar, Kimberly Taylor
Park Commission: Tom Smegal, Kimberly Moses, David Johnson
Planning Commission: Raffi Zaroukian, Thomas Yee, Michael Beuselinck
Public Safety Committee: Marilyn Weber, Christine VanSlyke
Recreation Commission: Jenny Feinberg, Sean Byrnes

Commissioners serve three-year terms, with a maximum of two consecutive terms. The City will hold a reception at Community Hall at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22 to recognize outgoing Commissioners and other City volunteers.

Everyone welcome at Commission and Committee meetings
Everyone is welcome to attend and participate at Commission and Committee meetings. Attendees may offer comments on any individual agenda item, and also have an opportunity to speak on issues of general interest during the “Public Forum” period at the beginning of each meeting.

• Meeting agendas are published on the Commission or Committee webpage 72 hours before the meeting.
• Planning Commission, Recreation Commission, and Park Commission meetings are broadcast on the City’s cable channel, KCOM-TV (Comcast channel 27 or AT&T U-verse channel 99). These meetings are also live-streamed online and available for later on-demand viewing at piedmont.ca.gov/MeetingVideos.
