Boys tennis | Piedmont beats short-handed Encinal

Piedmont High School’s boys tennis team got a 7-0 win over host Encinal on April 2, with the short-handed Jets having to forfeit the doubles matches because they didn’t have enough players.

Emilio Misra defeated Ben Katz in the No. 1 singles match, 8-0. Luca LaForte beat Noah Balingit at No. 2, 8-2. Ben Davis downed Dash Wilson at No. 3, 8-1. And Joey Assalian shut out Jacob Matthews at No. 4, 8-0.

The next day, the Highlanders shut out visiting Arroyo, 7-0. Scores were not available.

Piedmont entered spring break with a 7-7 record, 3-3 in West Alameda County Conference play. The Highlanders are scheduled to host Castro Valley on April 15.
