Highlanders record season-best score

Piedmont High School’s boys golf team recorded its best score of the season on April 16, beating San Leandro, 198-253 at Lake Chabot Golf Course.

Derek Lee shot a two-under par 34 to earn medalist honors. Justin Porter and Charlie Wright each shot a 40 while River Bloemker and Jackson Vankleeck each shot 42. Alex Hattan-Kutter shot a non-scoring 43.

The Highlanders are now 6-6 on the season and are scheduled to face Berkeley and Bishop O’Dowd on April 30 at Sequoyah Country Club.
