Survey: Help inform choice of new play equipment at Linda Beach Tot Lot

Young park users examine new surface samples at a Tot Lot Open House on Jan. 31, 2025

From a City of Piedmont press release on Feb. 7:

Help inform the selection of new playground equipment at Linda Beach Tot Lot by completing a brief online survey. The survey builds on two recent events at the tot lot where staff spoke to playground users about their preferences and priorities for new playground equipment. The survey invites community members to share:
• how often they visit Linda Beach Tot Lot
• what age children they bring
• what they like most about the Tot Lot
• which types of equipment are most important to include
• whether they prefer matting or playground “turf” for the new playground surface

The survey is available HERE and will remain open through Feb. 21.

In addition to replacing the aging playground equipment, this project will:
• create ADA access from Linda Avenue to the playground
• resurface the playground with ADA compliant matting or turf
• install a new water fountain or bottle filling station

Funding for this project was included in the FY2024-2025 City budget and includes a $100,000 donation from the Piedmont Beautification Foundation.
