Jewish families in Piedmont and neighboring communities joined together on Jan. 27 at Pomella on Piedmont Avenue for a multigenerational evening of storytelling to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Speakers shared stories about the Holocaust and prayed for peace and the return of all the hostages taken during the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel. Attendees also brought Judaica — Jewish cultural objects, art, and literature — to donate to Jewish families in Los Angeles who lost their homes in the recent wildfires.
