Piedmont High School’s girls basketball team dropped a tight game at Antelope on Jan. 25, falling 53-51. The loss left the Highlanders at 14-4 on the season. Andrea Martin missed her second game due to illness. Briana Webb led Piedmont with 19 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jenelle Solis had 16 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals. Savannah Dennig had five points and four rebounds while Taylor White had four points, six rebounds and two assists.
Kamaria Charlo and Paradise Manning led Antelope with 12 points apiece.
The game was close throughout with the Titans holding a 10-7 lead after one quarter and the Highlanders leading 27-26 at halftime. Antelope led 39-37 after three quarters.
Webb scored eight of her points in the fourth quarter. Manning hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final quarter.
Piedmont is next scheduled to play at Castro Valley on Jan. 29.
