Boys basketball takes down Gateway, 81-54

Piedmont High School’s boys basketball team got off to a quick start to the season on Nov. 30, routing visiting Gateway-San Francisco, 81-54. It was the most points the Highlanders have scored in a game since Dec. 1, 2022 when they scored 91 against Richmond.

Piedmont next hosts its annual tournament at Binks Gymnasium, Dec. 5-7. The Highlanders open with Envision at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 5. The rest of the schedule and times are TBA.

Dillon Casey led Piedmont with 26 points, five rebounds and three assists. Ravi Silverberg had 19 points, six rebounds and three assists. Lucian Fang Ring had 10 points while P.J. Brayer had eight points and six rebounds.
Piedmont won the rebounding battle, 33-31.

The Highlanders shot 56 percent from the floor.
