Highlander Robotics hosts The Great Gingerbread Build FUNdraiser on Dec. 12

Highlander Robotics cheerfully announces The Great Gingerbread Build FUNdraiser on Thursday Dec. 12 from 6:30-9:30pm, at the Piedmont Community Hall! Join us for this festive evening of gingerbread architecture, drinks, and bites for grown ups!  Go to www.frc8033.com for early bird tickets and sponsorships.

There are two different ways to participate as a builder and both are eligible for awards recognition.

1.) You can bring your crew of up to four people to compete in the timed gingerbread kit build during the event. Buy tickets for each person and then add on a gingerbread kit to your order to reserve your build set and table space.  Don’t wait–kits and table space are limited!

2.) Or you can take your time and submit a Pre-Built gingerbread house,  at home to donate to our silent auction. This option does not require you to attend our fun event.

For true maker cred, do both the in person build and the pre-built!

Prefer to watch the action? Come for the party and cheer on your favorite team of builders as they compete for bragging rights for Best Design 2024 and other honors awarded by our esteemed judges.  Bid on gingerbread Pre-Builts and other festive items in our silent auction. A live auction featuring  experiences, including an exclusive tour of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Advanced Fabrication Lab and golfing at Wente’s beautiful course,  will ‘wrap’ up our evening.  Get your tickets!

All proceeds go to supporting Highlanders Robotics FRC Team 8033, based at Piedmont High’s Mary G. Ross Engineering Lab. We are the capstone program of Piedmont Makers’ FIRST robotics pathway, the largest community league in the country. We must raise 100% of our revenue each year to sustain our team that provides 50+ high schoolers with advanced hands-on engineering in a world class program.

Does your business want to support our mission? We are seeking sponsors for our gingerbread FUNdraiser. Your support will be featured at our event, in our press and social media, and also through the Piedmont Makers newsletter to 3,000 highly engaged subscribers from Piedmont and surrounding cities each month.  Choose the “Tickets” button on the Gingerbread Build homepage to see Sponsorships Packages. Our student leaders would be happy to present our program to your company.
