Piedmont Education Foundation launches Giving Campaign with strong community support

Dana Murray, Amelie Kappes and Giving Campaign Chair Kim Hunter greeted families at PHS

Our goal is to empower every family to contribute in a way that’s meaningful to them. We believe that with the collective effort of the entire community, we can achieve 100% participation in the Giving Campaign.

The Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF) is thrilled to announce the successful launch of its annual Giving Campaign on September 24. The campaign kicked off with enthusiastic support from the community, as many showed up in purple to symbolize their commitment to the students and schools of Piedmont Unified School District (PUSD). The day’s festivities included a special treat of popsicles, generously donated by Mulberry’s Market, which were handed out during the launch celebration.

The Giving Campaign is a crucial part of maintaining the stability of Piedmont schools. By providing the district with the resources it needs to meet current demands and to plan for future growth, the campaign demonstrates the impact of community support. PEF contributes an essential 8% of the district’s budget, and as last year’s difficult planning for potential budget cuts demonstrated, even that 8% can make a significant difference in maintaining quality programs and services for students.

To demonstrate their commitment, all 27 members of the PEF Board of Directors have already pledged to this year’s Giving Campaign, setting a powerful example for the community. This year, PEF is aiming for 100% participation and a fundraising goal of over $3.5 million. Achieving this goal will help ensure that Piedmont schools continue to thrive and provide students with the best educational opportunities possible.

The Piedmont Education Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who has already contributed to the Giving Campaign and looks forward to continued community support in the coming weeks. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the future of our schools.
