Letter to the Editor | Please support the parcel tax

Have you ever been pushed to do something outside your comfort zone? When our daughter Hannah was just 13, Michael Wong, PMS administrator, encouraged her to welcome the audience at Piedmont Middle School graduation in Italian. Hannah was just learning the language, but it was amazing to watch her confidently try this new skill, thanks to Mr. Wong’s enthusiastic support.

Every day, the dedicated teachers and staff at Piedmont Unified inspire our children to embrace challenges and grow. They create a nurturing environment where students can thrive, and they deserve our unwavering support. Attracting and retaining talented staff and educators like Mr. Wong and so many others requires competitive salaries.

That’s why we urge our community to support the parcel tax. This parcel tax will provide essential funding for salaries, ensuring that our schools continue to be staffed by the exceptional people who motivate and uplift our students.

Let’s invest in our community’s future by investing in the people who guide our kids. Please join us in supporting the parcel tax for our community’s bright future.
