Names: Leopold (Leo) and Rigby
Members of Family: Traci, Nate, Oliver and Quentin Shafroth
Age: They are both almost four
Breed: Mackerel tabbies
Adoption Story: A friend texted and asked if we wanted these two bonded brother kitties. I pointed out that she knows that I’m allergic to cats and she responded, “I’m allergic too, and I have two cats in an apartment.” “How?!?” I asked. “Meds. Call your doctor. They’re going to be euthanized on Monday,” she added. I got my doctors to sign-off, we adopted the kitties, and I’m three years in on allergy shots, soon to be allergy free. We love these cats. They have enriched our lives so much. We are fully devoted crazy cat people.
Favorite napping spot: Curled up together on my lap on top of their favorite blanket.
Favorite toy: Leo loves the feathers/bells-on-a-string toys. Rigby has a bird stuffed animal he carries around the house.
Interesting facts: Leo doesn’t meow, but he talks/chirps a lot. He loves to chirp at us to get us to follow him to the room where their brush is. They both LOVE to be brushed. Leo will knock the brush off the bookshelf where we keep it if we’re not getting the hint. Leo is indifferent to food but loves to chew on cat grass. Rigby loves to eat, and loves a belly rub.
