The last day of summer did not disappoint: The Piedmont Police Department held its annual car show and community-building event on Saturday, Sept. 20 under picture-perfect blue skies, drawing auto aficionados and curious onlookers to the center of town. An array of vehicles, from vintage to exotic were on display.
This was the department’s sixth year of hosting the event, which was originally conceived as a way to connect residents in casual conversation with police officers. Officer Tyler Pettit has since become the face of the popular event.
