PHS grad part of Folk Element Trio performing this weekend at PCA

Join Adam Moezinia’s Folk Element Trio at Piedmont Center for the Arts this Sunday, August 4 at 5:30 p.m.

Benjamin Ring (PHS ’16) is the group’s drummer.

Rooted in the rich traditions of jazz, the trio explores new musical horizons by incorporating folk and world music influences from all over the world. Experience original compositions alongside reimagined classics such as “Tennessee Waltz”, and “Just a Closer Walk with Thee”.

Moving forward, they will continue to explore the unique relationships between jazz and folk music, sharing those discoveries with audiences across the globe. Don’t miss this unique musical journey that promises to captivate and inspire, part of a 35-day west coast tour from LA to Vancouver and back.

Guitarist Adam Moezinia, an accomplished professional and a graduate of the Juilliard School is joined by Benjamin Ring — a dynamic drummer, percussionist, and composer from Piedmont and a graduate of USC and UCLA’s Herbie Hancock Institute — and Will Lyle, bassist, bandleader, composer, arranger, and producer from Orange County. Lyle is based in New York City and is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and Manhattan School of Music.
