Looking for a way to use the bounty of stone fruit that is likely sitting on your counters right now? This was a fun cocktail we came up with while rooting on one of my son’s college football teams during football season hence the name Georgia Peach. If you can find a peach flavored La Croix or other flavored seltzer water, and/or use Ketel One’s Peach Blossom, you will really enhance the sweet peach flavor. Regular peaches or nectarines can be used as well. Go Dawgs!
INGREDIENTS:
- ½ ripe white peach peeled and diced
- ½ white peach, sliced with skin on
- 5 basil leaves
- 3 oz lime juice
- 1 T of maple syrup
- 2 oz of vodka, Ketel One Botanical Peach recommended
- Can of peach-flavored bubbly seltzer water, or regular club soda, or Prosecco
DIRECTIONS:
- Muddle up the peeled peach and 4 of the torn up basil leaves.
- Add lime juice, maple syrup and vodka. Stir up and add ice to the top of the glass.
- Top off with the sparkling seltzer water or club soda.
- Give a quick stir and then add a piece or two of the unpeeled peach slices and a big basil leaf.
