Name: Shadow and Vlad the Impaler

Adoption Story: Vlad and Shadow are siblings who were born in a barn on a friend’s ranch near Stockton. We picked them out of a huge litter of tiny kittens during COVID, and they became those cats that jumped into your lap and walked across the screen in every Zoom call.
Favorite napping spot: Their absolute favorite napping spot is snuggled together on the back of the living room couch. Vlad also loves sleeping at the foot of the bed, in front of the heater vent on a cold day, and on top of the keyboard while you’re trying to work. Shadow also loves to be under the covers, on top of the scratch pad, or in a pile of laundry that has just come out of the dryer.
Favorite toy: Shadow never gets tired of chasing a foil ball and bringing it back to you. Vlad loves foam Nerf bullets. He carries them all around the house and we find them in his favorite napping spots.
Interesting facts: The mere sound of shaking the treat jar will have the cats running full speed from wherever they are in the house, a stampede coming down the stairs. They don’t go outside so they will spend hours looking out the window. On hot days they take full advantage of open windows and hop outside to explore the rooftop.
Anything else: Shadow is the curious and mischievous one – he’ll jump into any empty box or bag and knock over garbage cans to see what’s inside. Vlad is very vocal/meows a lot and is a people person. He follows us around the house and has no sense of personal boundaries.
