Glass Festival comes to Piedmont Center for the Arts

The Glass Alliance of Northern California (GLANC) is pleased to present the NorCal Glass Festival, an inaugural exhibition of glass art in collaboration with Piedmont Center for the Arts.  The festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at 801 Magnolia Avenue in Piedmont.

Parking is available in the streets adjacent to the center. The center is fully handicapped accessible.

Fifteen artists from northern California are featured in the gallery spaces at the Center.  The artworks are executed using a broad range of methods for working with glass including blown, kiln fired, cold- and flame-worked techniques.

The cumulative expertise and experience of these artists is impressive and each artist will be present throughout the festival. Visitors will be able to meet them personally and become familiar with the processes they use to make their art.  Visitors will also be able to discuss purchase options directly with the artists throughout the two days of the event.

Participating artists are Mary Albert, Sean Alcala, Christine Byrne, Andrea Ciak, Dari Gordon, Vivien Hart, Janet Hiebert, Mark Lightfoot, Tomye Neal-Madison, Caroline Masters, Jennifer Morgan, Bruce Pizzichillo, Mark Schatz, Phyllis Williams, and Daniel Wooddell
