The Dish | Sriracha Miso Glazed Salmon

My friend, Hilary, shared this recipe with me. It is a great weeknight meal because it takes so little time to make. Serve with some rice and roasted vegetables — and dinner is served.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 Tbs toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 3 Tbs Sriracha
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 6 (6 oz. each) salmon fillets, about 1″ thick
  • Sliced green onions, and sesame seeds (optional), for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
  • Preheat broiler and put a rack 6″ from the heat.
  • In a small nonreactive mixing bowl, combine the oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, miso paste, Sriracha, and garlic.
  • Spritz the broiling pan with nonstick cooking spray and place the salmon on the pan; then brush some sauce on the fish.
  • Broil until the fish flakes easily at the center of the fillet, basting twice more with the sauce. Broil about 9-10 minutes, but don’t overcook!
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
