Piedmont Education Foundation welcomes new board members

PEF announces slate for 2024-25

On May 16, the Board of Directors of the Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF) held their final meeting of the school year. The full agenda included a review of financial statements, approval of the PEF budget for 2024-25, nomination of the Executive Slate, and approval of the grant distribution plan for PUSD. The board celebrated a strong year for fundraising and community engagement and is looking forward to the future. The PEF Board of Directors unanimously voted to approve the nominations of new members Adam Fishman, Zeena Fakoury, Molly Lloyd, Catie Osborn, Sarah Pearson, Rick Raushenbush, and Nagisa Yamamoto.

“We had an intensive round of applications, interviews, and vetting for next year’s board,” said Governance Committee member Dana Lung. We look forward to a very productive year with this amazing group of individuals.”

Adam Fishman has been a long-time member, and president, of the Wildwood Dads Club as well as a member of Site Council and the Budget Advisory Council. Zeena Fakoury, a Piedmont native and co-president of the Beach Parents Organization, brings strategy and planning expertise from her years working in hospitality sales. Molly Lloyd has rich experience in budgeting, forecasting and governance from her corporate years at Wells Fargo and Visa. Catie Osborn, another Piedmont native, has a strong fundraising history that includes development positions in higher education at UC Berkeley and University of Chicago. Sarah Pearson is a pediatrician with over 20 years of experience volunteering for our schools and community. Rick Raushenbush is a lawyer and former Piedmont School Board member who currently serves on the Piedmont Facilities Steering Committee and the Piedmont Measure H1 Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee. Nagisa Yamamoto, a long time supporter of our schools, will join the Board representing a partner organization, Dress Best For Less.

PEF Board terms are two years and members may be asked to renew twice, for a total of six years of service. Reaching their term limits this year are Angel Fierro, Mary Ireland, Nicki Gilbert and Charlotte Ero. Each has been a long-term board member and avid supporter of PEF’s mission.

The PEF Executive Committee leadership team was also confirmed at the meeting. Bridget Schreiber will continue as Treasurer, Marco Gonzalez-Navarro will step in as Secretary, and Max Roman is taking on Communications. Chad Olcott will return as Vice Chair and Sara Davison-Devries and Dana Lung will serve as Co-Chairs of the Board. Current Board Chair Tonya Antonucci, who has provided steady leadership through a trying year, will continue to serve on the PEF Board and Executive Committee.
