Piedmont boys lacrosse falls at San Ramon Valley

Piedmont High School’s boys lacrosse team saw its season come to an end on April 30, when it lost 15-7 in the first round of the North Coast Section Division 1 playoffs.

The Highlanders finished their season 8-6. San Ramon Valley advanced to the second round where it lost at De La Salle, 22-2 on May 2. The Wolves finished 13-7.

Rylan Nelson and Oliver Shafroth each scored three goals for Piedmont with Shafroth adding an assist. Brendan Devine and Timmy Kalamas each scored once.

Eli Volk led San Ramon Valley with five goals. A.J. Nicholson and Tom Navone each scored three. Navone also had an assist. Campbell Duke scored two goals and had an assist. Jack Livesay and Joe Navone scored one goal apiece. Max Moran also had an assist.

The Highlanders were able to stay close early but ran out of gas in the second half.
