Piedmont High School’s Bodhi Bloemker shot a four-under par 67 at the North Coast Section Division 2 qualifier at Peacock Gap Golf Club in San Rafael to earn his way into the Division 1 championships.
Bloemker finished second in the qualifier, just one shot behind Will Chang of College Prep. The top 18 finishers gained a spot in the Division 1 championship, to be held May 13 at Tilden Park Golf Course.
Bloemker had four birdies and an eagle in his round. He shot 33 on the front nine and 34 on the back.
Marin Catholic won the team championship on a tie-breaker over Marin Academy. Both schools shot a 301. Miramonte was third with a 305.
The NCS Division 1 tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The top four individuals plus the top three teams will qualify for the CIF Northern California regional championships on May 20 at the Berkeley Country Club in El Cerrito.
The CIF state championships will be on May 29 at the San Gabriel Country Club in Southern California.
