Annual ‘Run to Remember’ to be held May 18

The 15th annual “Run to Remember,” a benefit for fallen law enforcement officers, will be held Saturday, May 18 at Shadow Cliffs Regional Park in Pleasanton.

The program will include a 10K, 5K and Kids Fun Run.

Day-of registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.

The event is put on by the California Police Officers Association Region II. This year’s race honors Deputy Darnell Calhoun of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, Officer Gonzalo Carrasco Jr. of the Selma Police Department and Officer Tuan Le of the Oakland Police Department. All lost their lives in 2023.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the families of the officers and local law enforcement charities, according to organizers.

Registration is $45 for the 10K or 5K and $25 for the Kids Fun Run. A t-shirt is included with registration.
The 10K will start at 8:20 a.m., the 5K at 9 a.m. and the Kids Fun Run at 10:15 a.m.
