10th annual Piedmont School Maker Faire returns to PHS on Sunday

The 10th annual Piedmont School Maker Faire returns to the Piedmont High School campus this Sunday, May 19 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Come celebrate K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math (S.T.E.A.M.) education for the Piedmont community and beyond.

Organized by Piedmont Makers, the event will showcase more than 80 projects featuring the S.T.E.A.M. creativity, passion, and effort of over 200 Makers in our community. Many of these projects are created by Piedmont students from Wildwood Elementary, Havens Elementary, Beach Elementary, Piedmont Middle School, Millennium High School, and Piedmont High School.

In addition to the inspiring projects completed before the Faire, there are many hands-on activities to engage Makers of all ages. Some examples include the ever popular Nerdy Derby where you can design a race car and race it down the track, pressurized air rockets where you can launch rockets high into the air, or Maker River where you can design a raft to float down a lazy river, and many more.

Musical guests include the Piedmont High School Jazz Combo and DJ Andre 5000. Food will also be available at the Faire with delicious lunch options from Chef Robert Dorsey, cookies from Mo’s Bakeshop, French baked goods from Grimaud Bakeshop, Boba Tea from Tea on Piedmont, and Saturday Sourdough bread.

Free tickets are available HERE.  Secure your tickets in advance to avoid the lines at the Faire.
