Mountain View Cemetery’s annual Memorial Day Commemoration is a family-friendly event and a way to honor the men and women who gave their lives serving the country.
This year’s event takes place from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, May 27. The cemetery says there will be music, live singers, speakers from the Armed Forces, presentation of colors by the Boy’s Scouts Piedmont Troop #6, a salute to the fallen soldiers by gun salute and more, including free refreshments.
The cemetery is the resting place for veterans dating back to the Civil War.
