The all-West Alameda County Conference teams have been named and Piedmont High School’s soccer and basketball teams were once again well represented.
In boys basketball, Brit Burden made first team Foothill Division while Dillon Casey was named second team. Declan Linnane and Ravi Silverberg were named honorable mention.
Bishop O’Dowd’s Sam Chavarin earned Most Valuable Player honors. Nine players were named to the first team.
In girls basketball, Piedmont’s Natalia Martinez was named Foothill Division Most Valuable Player. Sam Smith and Lindsey Wirgler both joined Martinez on the eight-member first team. Kat Melian and Shakila Zuberi took second team honors.
In girls soccer, Elsa Wallway and Hailey Marshburn were named to the first team all-Foothill Division. A total of 14 players made the first team. Bishop O’Dowd’s Abby Forgson was named Player of the Year.

Lola Biehn, Amy Derr, Miranda Liu, and Louisa Symkowick all made the second team for Piedmont. Elle Ruegg and Juliana Thornborrow were given honorable mention.
In boys soccer, Enzo Bernales and Ben Elmquist made the 14-member first team all-Foothill Division. Bishop O’Dowd’s Ian Nasif was named Player of the Year.
Andrew McLaughlin, Axel Saldhana, and Aiden Woolwine made the second team. Bosco Lorin and Harper Mand took honorable mention.
