Piedmont Education Foundation is gearing up for its annual Spring Fling Gala, Carnevale di Venezia, an event that promises to not only dazzle attendees with an evening of celebration but also to significantly impact the educational experience of students at Beach, Havens, and Wildwood.
Attendees can look forward to cocktails, auctions, entertainment, and a delicious menu prepared by Piedmont’s own Chef Robert Dorsey.
Scheduled for May 4, this year’s gala is raising funds for several crucial initiatives aimed at enhancing the social and educational environment of Piedmont’s elementary schools.
This year, the funds raised from the Spring Fling season will be dedicated to several key initiatives aimed at fostering a warm and enriching learning environment for Piedmont students:
Developing a Positive Playground Culture: Creating a space for play, teamwork, and creativity where all students feel a sense of belonging, and have the opportunity to contribute in the playground and in the classroom.
Improving Technology: Upgrading and expanding technology resources within the school, including computers, software, and other educational tools, to ensure that students have access to essential 21st century skills.
Supporting the Phonics Curriculum: Enhancing the phonics curriculum by using decodable books and other resources to strengthen literacy skills among students, laying a solid foundation for their academic success and enjoyment of lifelong learning.
“Piedmont has the gift of amazing teachers and staff who work hard to make sure that every student receives the instruction and support they need in elementary school to help on their journey to becoming an amazing adult,” says Anne Dolid, Principal of Havens Elementary School, “And they need the right materials to do this amazing work.” She continues, ”We are so grateful to PEF and our elementary families for ensuring that our students have the right
tools to develop these skills in the form of developmentally appropriate playground spaces, relevant and up-to-date technology, and the best instructional materials possible. Spring Fling is a gift to our elementary schools each year that levels up our students’ educational experiences.”
