Piedmont boys lacrosse falls in WACC playoffs

The Piedmont High School boys lacrosse team dropped a 10-2 decision to host Bishop O’Dowd in the semifinals of the West Alameda County Conference playoffs on April 24.

The Highlanders are 8-5 on the year and await a potential North Coast Section Division 1 playoff berth. Piedmont went 4-1 against Division 1 schools during the season. Those brackets will be announced on April 28.

Oliver Shafroth and Brendan Devine had the goals for the Highlanders against Bishop O’Dowd.

Jacob Glasgow scored three goals for the Dragons. Jake Lim had two. Julian Scott, Theo Verner, Trevor Erickson, Kaiel Taylor-Wang, and Lucas Cavallo-Merrion each had one goal. Taylor-Wang and Diego Paredes had two assists while Julien Gardner had one.

Bear Bryant had nine saves for Bishop O’Dowd.
