The City of Piedmont hosted its annual Arbor and Earth Day Celebration on April 26, drawing a crowd of elementary students and parents after school to meet a raptor and snake, see Public Works’ big trucks, and make wildlife-themed crafts. The event is hosted by Piedmont Public Works and the Piedmont Park Commission.

“We had fantastic turnout – so well attended in fact that we ran out of popcorn about an hour into the event,” said Piedmont’s Communications Program Manager Echa Schneider. “Kids loved the trucks and getting to meet our Public Works maintenance crew. Lindsay Wildlife Experience brought a barred owl named Houston and a snake which were both very popular.”
