The Kodály Foundation for Music Education to hold benefit auction at PCA on March 24

Performances by Kate Offer and the Piedmont East Bay Childrens Choir

The Kodály Foundation for Music Education’s 3rd Birthday Celebration will feature performances by Ensemble (Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir) led by Eric Tuan (Artistic Director) and a recital of comic songs performed by soprano Kate Offer (HNU Kodály Center alumna).

The March 24 event will also feature a silent auction to raise funds for student scholarships in Gail Anderson Needleman’s name. Needleman was a beloved member of the music faculty at Holy Names, and was co-creator of the online American Folk Song Collection before her untimely passing two years ago. Her translations of Lajos Bárdos choral works have now been published by Editio Musica Budapest.

KFME’s first silent auction will include items generously donated from Gail Needleman’s family such as unique instruments, embroidered linens, and exquisite rugs.
