Piedmont boys lacrosse firing on all cylinders

Piedmont High School’s boys lacrosse team posted three consecutive victories to improve to 5-2 on the season.  The Highlanders defeated host Moreau Catholic on March 14, 11-4.

Connor Fredericks scored four goals to lead Piedmont. Rylan Nelson and Curtis Hohener each scored two goals while Cairo Osman, Ryan Graham, and Milo Stevenson had one goal apiece. Hohener, Andrew McLaughlin and Quentin Shafroth each had an assist.

Chinadun Feaster had two goals for Moreau Catholic.

On March 15, Piedmont defeated visiting Dougherty Valley, 14-2. Nelson, Hohener, Osman, and Oliver Shafroth each had three goals. Nelson and Hohener each added two assists. Fredericks scored twice.

Vicente Valdez had both goals for Dougherty Valley.

On March 18, the Highlanders beat host Alahambra 13-1. Nelson scored six goals and added an assist. Hohener, Fredericks and Oliver Shafroth each scored two goals. Hohener recorded three assists and Fredericks and Shafroth had two apiece. Osman had a single goal as well.

Colby St. Germain had Alhambra’s goal.

Piedmont next plays at Bishop O’Dowd on March 22.
