Do you need a break from the stresses of daily life? Piedmont Adult School is offering a new class, Introduction to Mindfulness and Compassion, on Tuesdays, April 16 – May 21, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Mindfulness is the practice of focusing attention on the present moment. It has been shown to reduce anxiety and stress, improve emotional and physical health, and even improve relationships. Students will learn and practice basic mindfulness techniques and loving kindness practices.

Instructor Nani Vohryzek has been a psychotherapist for more than 26 years, specializing in somatic therapy. She enjoys facilitating groups that support people in being mindful, aware, and friendly towards their experiences.
