Two trees at the intersection of La Salle Avenue and Hampton Road fell across the roadway on Sunday morning, blocking traffic near Hampton Field. No one was injured; traffic was diverted for several hours until public works crews were able to remove the trees and clean up the area.
This is the second (early-ish) call the city’s public works crew has had to respond to in the last week: A mudslide caused by a broken water pipe closed Moraga Ave. on Jan. 11.
