It was a full house for the 16th Annual Havens Poker Night at Veteran’s Hall last Friday night. The sold out event on Jan. 19 hosted around 150 players plus 70 non-playing guests, said event organizers. In addition to the card games, the evening featured Top Dog hot dogs, Arthur Mac’s pizza, and Chef Dorsey hors d’oeuvres. Oakland United Beerworks had beers on tap. Event organizers say the event netted approximately $53,500 for the elementary school. Past donations have funded Chromebooks for classrooms and staff, professional development, playground equipment, and infrastructure improvements.
