I am a 40+ year resident of Piedmont. Because of Piedmont’s location relative to larger urban areas, there is increasing evidence of a need for enhanced city services, particularly for public safety. And of course, there is also the ongoing need to maintain and improve city property and utilities like parks, streets and storm drains. Quality city services like those we enjoy need to be paid for, and continuing this tax which we’ve regularly renewed for decades is how we need to pay for those services.
For those reasons, I hope Piedmont’ Measure F succeeds in obtaining the necessary two-thirds vote for passage.
