Elizabeth Taylor’s jewels topic of talk at Piedmont Center for the Arts

Long time Piedmont resident and graduate gemologist Sacha Q Grippando returns to continue her lecture series focused on the development of the jewelry arts, with the second part of a two-part illustrated lecture exploring the spectacular jewelry collections of the Duchess of Windsor and Elizabeth Taylor.

This event will focus on Elizabeth Taylor’s fabulous collection from 1950-70s. It will focus on her pieces from the latter part of the Golden Age of Hollywood when she was at the pinnacle of her career. As the majority of her collection was acquired as gifts from either her husbands or friends, this collection is truly a legacy of love.

Come learn more about this fascinating and extraordinary woman and her unbelievable jewelry on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 801 Magnolia. Doors open at 5:45 pm. Donations to the Piedmont Center for the Arts will be gratefully accepted at the door and refreshments will be provided following the talk.
