A break in winter rain gave the pool construction crew the needed time to pour the concrete slab for the pool building on Friday, Dec. 22. The city says the steel for the building is scheduled to arrive next week, and that PG&E and Comcast utility work is expected to be finished then as well. While major storms to come might impact the timeline, current forecasts indicate the crews will be able to work through the rain for now.
Official construction started in December 2022; the expected completion date is October 2024, according to the city from the Dec. 18 City Council meeting.
