Piedmont Anti-Racism and Diversity Committee (PADC) is calling for students to contribute to the annual MLK Day Art and Writing Showcase, now in its third year.
All submissions will be featured in PADC’s upcoming Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, which will be held on Monday, Jan. 15 at the Alan Harvey Theater. All contributors will also be entered in a raffle to win prizes, including ten $25 gift cards. (View the slideshow from last year’s showcase HERE.)
This year’s theme comes from Dr. King’s sermon in Memphis, which he gave just days before his assination: “Let us stand up. Let us be a concerned generation. Let us remain awake through a great revolution.” PADC asks that students think about what that quote means to them.
The deadline to submit is Friday, Dec. 22, 2023. Please see PADC’s website for rules and directions: https://www.padc.info/showcase
