It’s peak holiday season at the Piedmont Scout tree lot

Tis the season … for the Coaches Field parking lot to be transformed into a bustling scene of evergreen. For more than 50 years Piedmont Scouts have sold holiday trees — this year silver tips, Noble firs and Douglas firs — plus an assortment of garlands, wreaths, and other holiday greenery to local residents. Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturing Crew members and adult volunteers all work together on the lot to help buyers select the tree, cut it as necessary, and help load and/or deliver the tree. Funds raised via this annual tradition support activities of the local council, Piedmont BSA.
