Piedmont Beautification Foundation thanks donors for the pool landscaping project

As of the end of October, $115, 000 has been contributed to the Piedmont Beautification Foundation Sustainable  Pool Landscaping Project. To this, PBF will add its $100,000 matching grant for a total donation of $215,000. Earlier this year PBF, also contributed $25,000 to the PRFO Campaign to close the gap on Pool construction costs.  As a result of all these gifts, PBF will be one of the largest contributors to the total cost of the Pool.

A total of 118 donors have contributed to the PBF campaign to date, including the three underwriters. This campaign has been one of the most successful in PBF‘s history.

The gifts to PBF include one of securities valued at $53,000, by far the most significant of all donations. This gift dramatically illustrates the value of using appreciated securities in making charitable contributions. A donor of securities receives a tax deduction for the current value of the donated securities while avoiding paying a capital gain tax on the appreciation which has occurred since the securities were acquired.

With sincere thanks to each and every donor, PBF gratefully acknowledges the listed individuals and organizations:
