Celebrating their 25th anniversary, the Soho Study Group (SSG) will host a flower show, “Expression Unbound,” on Oct. 14 and 15, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Orinda Community Center. Featuring over 90 unique exhibits and daily Ikebana demonstrations, the show is free and open to the public.
About the Soho Study Group:
Founded in 1997 by renowned master teacher and artist Soho Sakai, this is a dedicated group of individuals who pursue the study of the principles of the Sogetsu school of Japanese flower arranging through workshops and educational opportunities.
With over 170 current members, more than 80 of them teachers themselves, Soho Study Group represents a significant force in the contemporary Bay Area Ikebana community.
