PPD posted the following notice on their social media accounts Wednesday afternoon:
The Piedmont Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred yesterday, September 5, 2023, around 11:40 am in the 200 block of Estates Drive. Suspects driving a white Lexus IS 350 with tinted windows, backed into a driveway and two suspects exited the vehicle, one holding a handgun. Construction workers on this property were targeted for their tools and surrendered their equipment, unharmed. The suspects fled in the white Lexus.
This is an active investigation and we ask that any information be reported to Detective John Lagios at (510) 420-3015. As always, be mindful of your surroundings and report suspicious activity promptly to the police.
