Piedmont Adult School offers floral design workshops

Are you looking for a little more joy in your life? This fall Piedmont Adult School is offering two dates for the popular class Cultivating Joy: A Floral Workshop.

Come learn something new, (re)connect with nature, and enjoy the company of fellow floral enthusiasts. In this hands-on, three-hour workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of centerpiece design, including mechanics and storytelling, and will also learn about floral styling techniques.

Each participant will have access to an array of seasonal flowers and will leave with a beautiful arrangement of their own creation.

Cultivating Joy is taught by Piedmont resident Victoria Thompson, owner of Olive+Grace Stems. Victoria is a parent of two daughters who attend Piedmont schools. She has enjoyed arranging for community members and local organizations, including PEF and local schools. Prior to narrowing her focus on family and flowers, Victoria spent 16 years working at Pixar Animation Studios. She is excited to share her enthusiasm for floral design and the rewarding, connective qualities it can bring to others.

To register for Cultivating Joy and other classes, visit Piedmont Adult School or call (510) 594-2655.
