Adoption story: My wife really wanted to get a dog in early 2022 and furiously searched on Petfinder. We found a rescue organization (Hearts for Paws) that recently took in a litter of four puppies that were owner-abandoned somewhere in the Central Valley. A foster family was taking care of them in Sacramento so we drove up on a Tuesday night.
Since we were the first ones to see them, we got the pick of the litter! Needless to say, that Wednesday was pure chaos as neither of us had owned a puppy before, and Izzy was already a rambunctious 16-pound puppy.
Likes: Playing in water, eating peanut butter, sleeping on the couch when we watch TV at night, playing at Dracena Park.
Dislikes: Getting her nails clipped, baby gates we used when she was a puppy that would fall and make a loud bang.
Anything else? We lovingly describe Izzy as “sweet but a psycho.” She has so much energy and can seemingly play forever but at home is a total “velcro” dog.
