Neighborhoods around town organized block parties in partnership with the Piedmont Police Department as part of the annual National Night Out event on Aug. 1. The community-building event takes place across the country every year and is aimed at building relationships between the community and police. Piedmont’s Fire Department also joins in on the event, to the delight of the town’s youngest residents who get an up-close look at the city’s fire engines and ambulance.
National Night Out is all about building connections, strengthening partnerships, and promoting safety. Together, we are creating a safer and more united community, and we couldn’t have done it without all of your help and support.
We had a great time and hope you did too! It is never too early to plan ahead so mark your calendars for NNO next year on Aug. 6, 2024.
