Parts of the pathways that loop through Dracena Park were repaired this week as the city addressed damage caused by last winter’s storms and normal aging.
The city said on Friday that the repair work was completed on Thursday and all pathways are now open.

This project is not part of the planned work to make parts of the park ADA accessible. That work will include creating one accessible (disabled) parallel parking space on Dracena Ave., creating an ADA accessible pathway from Dracena Avenue to the off-leash dog area, and creating ADA seating space in the off-leash dog area, according to the city’s website.
On Aug. 2 the Park Commission voted to recommend the proposed design below; the City Council is expected to consider the design on Sept. 15.
According to the City Administrator, the tentative date for consideration of the ADA ramp design by City Council is Tuesday September 5.
